Major Retailers Want to Give Our PTO Money!
Scrip is Fundraising While You Shop™. Did you know you can raise money for our organization while doing your everyday shopping? All you have to do is purchase gift cards from America's favorite retailers and use them in place of cash, checks, or credit cards for purchases you were going to make anyway! Each card purchased carries an associated "contribution" of 2-15% or more.
Gift cards are available from over 300 national and local retailers. Groceries, clothing, dining out, home improvement, even gasoline can all be purchased with Scrip. An organization of 150 families easily spends between one and two million dollars a year on these purchases. If they do the majority of this shopping with Scrip, they can raise as much as $40,000 to $80,000 per year for our organization – without spending an additional penny!
The beauty of scrip is that you put your regular household shopping dollars to work. You earn money for our school without spending a single additional penny. Just spend your regular shopping dollars with scrip at the stores that participate in the scrip program! And scrip can be used for just about any household purchase including food, clothing, entertainment, gasoline, and even dining out. What a great way to budget your monthly expenses. And these gift cards can be reloaded online with our Presto Pay program!
This year we are planning just three or four orders. This is the first order. The second will be before theholidays. The third will be in the spring and a possible fourth at the end of the school year. All families who who place an order this month will be entered in a drawing for a great prize! Orders will be available for pickup at the PTO meeting on October 13 or can be sent home with your child (parent signed waiver required).
